The kids had a great Christmas. As always Grandma's tree was over flowing with stuff for all. The opened stuff so fast that I don't think they even know what they got.

Big Red Vistis School

Today was a special treat for the kids at Growing Gardens. A super special visitor joined them on their field trip.... SANTA!! Logan was super excited to see him.

Snow Park & Small Town Fun

What a small town feel Martinez has. This year we got to participate in all the festivities. For the last couple of years mommy has brought us to enjoy the snow park, but this year, We got to stay til the tree lighting. We played in the snow, had our faces painted, went sledding, and watched the tree being lit.

Ligths!!!

Mommy loves tree lightings. For mommy it is one of those things that is part of Christmas as much as Santa is. THis year we took the kids to the Macy's Tree Lighting. It was one of those live and learn experiences. It was insanely crowded, and of course started late.. What a way to torture small children? In all they had fun,

Frosting & Sprinkles

Abby had been talking about having a friendship party for her friends since the summer. It was decided that the week of Thanksgiving would be a great time to recognize her friends by hosting a friendship tea party / cookie decorating. The kids all had a blast. There was little partaking of the tea, but lots of sprinkles and frosting used, as well as heart shaped sandwich.

Today at school Abby's class celebrated Thanksgiving. Below are the songs the kids sang for the parents and friends that came to watch.

Halloween Fun

What a fun Halloween the kids had this year. It was filled with lots of festivities from parties and parades at school to getting to tricker treat twice. Once in Downtown Walnut Creek and then again on the night of Halloween.

Wedding Time

Today was the day the kids had been waiting for all summer. There Uncle Chris and Larissa's Wedding. Logan was more than ready to wear his tux. Everyday for weeks he asked if he could wear it.



Logan unfortnately never made it down the aisle. Poor little man ended up not feeling well just before the wedding was to start. We didn't realize how lousy he really was feeling until we saw the picute later....




by the end of the speaches Abby was not feeling well either, and slept through the rest of the wedding....

I'm a preschooler

Today Logan started his first day of preschool at Growing Gardens.

Super Star Abby

Today Abby was recognized as a Super Kids, the first super kid of the school year. The Principal read to the whole school the note her teacher wrote about her.



"Today the Kindergarten honor Abby Stofer for fulfilling all our Faith Community Agreements. Abby is a very bright little girl who is always on task, focused, and attentive. Abby listens and follows directions effortlessly. She shows mutual respect to her teachers and friends by being extremely courteous and kind. Abby is as sweet as they come.

At Back to School Night parents wrote their children messages on large index cards which I read to them the following day. When Abby brought hers up she softly said, "I can read this by myself, do you want me too?" "Of Course,: I said. And as smoothly as a third grader she read her moms message to the class. "Wow, " I said, "What a good reader you are!" Abby just smiled sweetly and went back to her desk.

Abby is a joy and very special little girl. I am so pleased to have her in Kindergarten this year!

Party Time

What a wonderful time the kids had at their friend Lilah's 2nd Birthday.

I'm a Kindergartner

Today Abby started Kindergarten at St. Catherine's. You have never seen a kid so excited, or ready to be in school.

Mt. Maddonna Fun

Forth of July weekend the Abby & Logan spent camping at Mt. Madonna, near Gilroy. They had a blast with their friends Ava & Lilah traipsing through the woods, hanging by the fire and getting sandy at the beach.

Tahoe Fun

The kids were lucky enough to spend almost the entire month of July in Lake Tahoe with Grandma and Papa. Their were some visitors in there too. Grandma's friend Karen, who Abby quickly decided was her new BBF, spent a week at the cabin. Their cousin's Michelle and JAnet spent a few days up here, and their cousin Riley was up here for a week at his cabin. They traveled to Truckee, Reno Portola & Virginia City. Abby learned to ride her bike in Homewood's parking lot without training wheels. They were spoiled rotten by Grandma and Papa. And most importantly there was lots of ice cream.
