Cake

Logan has been very excited with all the party planning for big sister and wants to plan his next party, which is not for 11 months. The best idea so far was when he told me he wanted a a "black cake" I asked him why a black cake, and he replied with " it is outer space, and outer space is black. " It was like he was saying duh...mom....what else would it be. From there he went on to tell me about every birthday after that one...the Buzz birthday, with no candles on Buzz, the Monster truck one with a pool of water, and another Cars party, but not a race track this time, he wants me to make Radiator Springs.

Making Money

Abby has been into wanting to make money the last couple of days. Today she would wonder around saying I am thinking of ways to make money. OK, GREAT! What are your ideas? She said I want to have a bake sale. Again, great Idea, are you going to do the baking? No you are mommy. Really, I am? I replied, well then I should get half of what you make. That didn't go over to well. LOL!

Bedtime was early tonight, and apparent Abby wasn't so tired, She read for a while, put her books away and then told me she was going to organize her room. Ok, but it is bedtime now. A while later she pops out and tells me she organized her room. Totally proud of herself. She showed me her shoes neatly lined up, her undie / sunglass drawer tidied up ( yes, i keep them together for some odd reason - probably because that drawer has the room for them) , under bed cleaned up, and her dolls are neatly sitting up in her cradle. I looked at her and told her I'm having a really hard time being mad at you for still being up when you just did such a great job cleaning your room. It looked like i had gone in there and cleaned it!. She giggles and tells me she did it to earn money! I tell her ok, you can earn money on house cleaning days by cleaning your room just like you did. She says, when you don't ask me too , I say uhm, no...when I ask you too. Knowing that she will clean all the time just to earn the quarter I told her she could earn.

Reactions!

Poor little man! On Friday he went in for his 4 year old well visit, which he got rave reviews at. He is now 40.25 inches & 37 lbs. While there he got the MMR & PVC-13 vacines. All went fine, the normal tears afterwards, who wouldn't after getting pricked twice.

This morning while he was getting dressed I happened to get a glance at his arm. At first I thought maybe he had fallen on something and then remembered that was the arm he had gotten the shots in on Friday. I had been warned about a possible fever in a couple of weeks, but not this.



I decided it was best to take him in the Children's ....so off we went.

Three hours later ( Sunday at Children's = really busy! ) We were told it looks like a local reaction, with a slim possibility of it being Cellulitus. We left with a prescription for antibiotics, just in case, and Logan saying " I like this place! They are nice"

New Brighton Adventure

For Memorial Day weekend we went camping at New Brighton State Beach. What an adventure it was! It was warm, then cool, then rained, then sunny, and then finally a bit foggy and cold. We had tons of fun staying up late, playing in the water, catching sand crabs, playing and eating s'mores. Thanks Ava and Lilah for the fun!

Abby had a great first year playing softball! Until next spring.....
