I don't like my bed

That was what Abby told me after almost 1.5 hours of screaming, whining, crying and hysterics over me wanting her to take a nap. Eventually I won the battle of will(YEAH!) by saying fine sleep on the floor, I don't care. I tossed her on the floor, and left her to go to sleep. When I went to see if she finally fell asleep I found her in her own makeshift bed.

More words....

Logan's vocabulary is growing steadily. His new words include dada ( thank god I'm not the only one he is calling for now), milk, book, truck, stuck, shadow, papa, uh-hu (his version of yes) and banana.

Jitters

Today was Abby's first day of school. She got up, got dressed, and was ready to roll. I asked her if she wanted to walk or go int he stroller with her Logan and she said walk. She walked the whole mile and a half or so to school. She was even early.

On the way to school she asked who gave her the pink jacket she was wearing. I told her grandma gave it to her for Christmas last year. To which she said no mommy Santa gave it to grandma. After that I asked her if she was going to sit on Santa's lap this year and tell him what she wants for Christmas. She said no that she was going to stand there and tell him she wanted presents. I asked her what type of presents and she said a flower and a fish. Really!!?? She then went on to say she also wanted a toy. I asked what type of toy, hoping to get some good ideas for her for Christmas and she said a lizard. After that discussion we finally made it to school. She dashed off and immediately started playing on the playground. The doors finally opened up for school to start I showed Abby where her cubby was and where to put her back-pack and off she went. I went to say good bye and she was so fascinated with attempting to cut a piece of paper she just looked at me and said bye.

First day of school that was not....

Today was supposed to be Abby's first day of school, however last night around midnight she woke with a touch of the stomach flu. Poor thing, she was really excited to be going to school. Sunday afternoon Abby & I picked out her clothes for school, and even tried on her outfit to make sure it was to her satisfaction. Then put it all on the dresser so we could bath and get dressed this morning. Looking at her presently you would never know she pent half the night throwing up. She is all excited because grandma is here and spoiling her. (I had asked Grandma to come over to watch Logan since I wasn't 100% sure how the transition of leaving her at school would go)Now Wednesday will be her new first day of school.

colors....

Uncle Chris came over the day and treated the kids to ice cream. We decided to hit up the QuickStop. Abby decided she wanted the bright multi -colored push-up. Logan got one too.

I'm so cool

Is it legal.....

Is it legal to have to minors helping bottle wine??? Today was 'festa' as Auntie's house (or what was to be;the date got mixed up, but we partied anyhow) and wine bottling day. The kids cousins Mat & Dan have taken over where Abby & Logan's great uncle left off. Abby had a blast helping Matt, Dan & Riley all bottle the wine.

The fancier...the better

Abby has decided she is going to be Fancy Nancy for Halloween. For those that do not know who Fancy Nancy is, she is a children's fictional character who loves to dress up, be fancy, and use big fancy words. We are still working on Abby's ensemble, as Fancy Nancy would say. This one maybe a little too over the top.

Motion Sickness

It was reaffirmed today that Abby may have a tendency for motion sickness on mildly windy roads. On Friday we headed out to Lake Chabot via Moraga. The way thru Moraga and up the hill to Lake Chabot was pretty windy. At one point Abby started whining, and crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said she didn't feel good, all while attempting not to throw up. I slowed down, assuming it was just that I may have been taking some of the turns to fast, and switched from my music to a podcast of Pinky Dinky Do thinking maybe it would distract her. Pinky Dinky Do did the trick. Well today we were heading to Grandma's house to help Papa set up his new computer. On the way there we hit a bunch of traffic heading up Hwy 92 in San Mateo. I decided it would be best to get off at Alameda and take the back roads up to the house. About a mile or so onto Crystal Springs Road Abby starts whining, and saying she is hot, and asks for Pinky Dinky Do then proceeded to throw up all over herself and her car seat. GROSS!!! Of course I was totally unprepared, no extra clothes, no towels, nothing. I guess that will teach me.

I wish I had gotten a picture of Abby in Grandma's tank top after she was all cleaned up. It was pretty funny.
